With record attendance, packed demo sessions, and real-time broadcasts powered by Streamcake, METexpo represented a major milestone for Layercake and our growing role in the future of media. Layercake powered the official livestream of METexpo 2025 via metexpo.tv, a collaboration that showcased the full strength of our cloud-native orchestration platform,. Streamcake. Streamcake delivered :
- Live switching and ingest
- Real-time clipping and VOD conversion
- Dynamic graphic overlays
- Auto‑publishing across social and OTT
This was more than a product demo. This was a real-world test of a fully virtualised pipeline from camera to viewer, across continents, end-to-end broadcast powered entirely in the cloud.
Powerful Partnerships at Work
A true highlight of METexpo was seeing our partners in action. Collaboration has always been core to the Layercake approach, and this year, we were proud to work alongside an incredible mix of innovators: Grass Valley, Enveu, AWS, AI Media, Sharon AI, TAFE NSW, Associated Press (AP) and MAVIS.
Streamcake powered the infrastructure behind METexpo.tv and orchestrated Grass Valley AMPP on SHARON AI, while Enveu and AWS supported the full digital infrastructure and OTT integration. On the ground, Corrivium led broadcast production while also mentoring TAFE NSW students, giving them hands-on experience in live event delivery.
