Accenture Partner | Streamcake Live Streaming

A certified Streamcake integration with the Accenture Video Solution catalogue: live events appear, go live and become replays automatically, with full metadata and rights.

Streamcake connects directly to the Accenture Video Solution content catalogue, so a live event is a catalogue item from the moment it is created rather than something re-entered by hand once it has finished. The integration tracks the event through its whole life - scheduled, starting, on air, winding down, finished - and keeps the catalogue's view of it in step at every stage. An event that has not started yet is presented as a forthcoming item, the same item becomes the live one when transmission begins, and it turns into a replay as soon as the event ends. Nobody re-publishes anything, and there is no window where the catalogue and the stream disagree. The catalogue entry is built out in full, not stubbed. Content is imported and the import is followed through to completion rather than fired and forgotten, and reference information already held against a title is picked up and reused instead of being retyped. Descriptive metadata, genres, keywords, classification and ratings, artwork and other properties are all written through, along with the commercial and contractual side: content protection settings, and the availability windows that decide when a title may be seen and for how long. The entry is then published into the catalogue categories where audiences will actually find it. For advertising and channel operations the integration goes beyond cataloguing. Ad breaks can be marked during a live event and scheduled switches placed into the running stream, and a separate channel integration keeps FAST channel event information accurate while an event is on air - carrying it through to on-demand availability once the event has ended. The integration is fully implemented and has been signed off by Accenture.

Feature

Live Events Catalogued End to End

An event is written into the catalogue while it is still forthcoming, switches to the live item the moment transmission starts, and becomes a replay automatically when it finishes. Cancelled events are reflected as cancelled rather than left stranded. Every state a stream can occupy has a defined counterpart in the catalogue, so the two never drift apart and nothing has to be re-catalogued by hand after the event.

Ingestion Followed Through to Completion

Content is submitted to the catalogue and the ingestion is then tracked until it actually finishes, rather than being submitted and assumed successful. Reference information already held against a title is looked up and reused instead of being re-entered, so an item that the catalogue already knows about arrives complete rather than as a near-duplicate stub for someone to reconcile later.

Complete Metadata, Not a Stub

Descriptive metadata and content details are written through in full, together with genres, keywords and additional properties, so titles are searchable and browsable on arrival. Artwork and creative files travel with the entry. The catalogue receives a finished, discoverable item rather than a placeholder that an operator has to go back and complete before it can be promoted.

Ratings, Protection and Availability Windows

Classification and ratings are set on the entry, content protection is applied, and availability windows are written so a title becomes visible and expires exactly when the rights say it should. Commercial terms are carried through alongside them. The contractual shape of a title is part of publishing it, not a follow-up task that risks a right-holder's terms being missed.

Ad Breaks Placed During Transmission

Ad markers can be raised on a running event and scheduled breaks placed into the stream, switching the input for the duration of the break and returning afterwards. Ingest can be prepared with or without advertising, so an ad-supported presentation and a clean one can be produced from the same event without building it twice.

FAST Channel Sync and Live to On-Demand

A dedicated channel integration keeps live event information accurate while an event is on air - not started, ready, live, ended - and carries the finished event through to on-demand availability. A channel schedule reflects what is genuinely happening, and the recording becomes watchable afterwards without a separate publishing exercise.
