From GV Forum to NAB Show and PEAK SportsTech, how Layercake brought Streamcake to the world stage
Over the past week in Las Vegas, Layercake took Streamcake on the road across three major industry events, the GV Forum, NAB Show and PEAK SportsTech Conference, engaging with broadcast professionals, media technologists, sports organisations and streaming engineers from around the world.
At every stop, the message was consistent. Modern broadcast and streaming infrastructure does not need to be complex. With the right orchestration platform, teams can deploy in minutes, scale on demand, and control every layer of the pipeline in real time without manual setup across fragmented systems.
Here is what we demonstrated, and where.
Streamcake media orchestration from camera to consumer
Streamcake is Layercake’s platform for connecting, automating and orchestrating broadcast and streaming workflows end to end, with advanced monitoring and real time issue identification and remediation. Whether it is a live sport broadcast, a multi CDN global event, or a secure live to VOD pipeline, Streamcake manages every layer automatically, with real time visibility and control across the entire stack.
GV Forum 2026 presented by the GVx Council
- The conversations at GV Forum centred on a clear industry shift. Broadcast is moving away from infrastructure only models towards hybrid, orchestrated, software defined production, where technology like GV AMPP provides the production and media processing capabilities with Streamcake delivering the automation, control and scalability layer.
- As a Grass Valley Alliance Partner, Layercake demonstrated how Streamcake acts as the orchestration layer for GV AMPP, enabling teams to deploy, manage, scale and deploy complex, templated production workflows with speed and precision.
- Rather than replacing existing infrastructure models, Streamcake works with AMPP to simplify how they are deployed and operated, turning complex workflows into repeatable, automated processes.
What we demonstrated:
- Rapid AMPP deployment in minutes through automated provisioning across cloud, on premises and hybrid environments
- Templated production workflows that can be reused and activated instantly for live events
- End to end orchestration of AMPP workloads, including scheduling, resource allocation and infrastructure management
NAB Show 2026
NAB Show was the centerpiece of the Las Vegas run, with Layercake delivering 13 live demonstrations on the show floor. All were powered by real infrastructure and presented to one of the world’s most demanding media audiences.
- GVAMPP Alchemist X on AWS GV AMPP cloud-native production with integrated Alchemist X for 50Hz/60Hz format conversion on AWS
- GVAMPP Small Production Two-camera live production on AWS with SRT ingest, real-time mixing and workflow control

Key highlights:
- Thirteen fully live demonstrations running on real infrastructure, not simulated environments
- Multiple streaming protocols operating simultaneously, including WebRTC, HLS, DASH and CMAF
- End to end configuration to live stream in under five minutes
PEAK SportsTech Conference 2026
- Alongside the Australian Sports Technologies Network, Layercake brought Streamcake to PEAK SportsTech, one of Australia’s leading sports technology events hosted in Las Vegas.
- At Booth 705, COO Quanah McBride led demonstrations focused on how Streamcake is reshaping live sport broadcasting for organisations of all sizes.
- The conversations centered on a universal challenge. How can organisations produce and distribute more content, reach wider audiences, and do so without the overhead of traditional broadcast infrastructure?
Key highlights:
- End to end cloud-based production workflows for live sport
- New revenue and coverage opportunities for sporting organisations
- Increased performance, faster time to market and virtually unlimited scale through a single platform
Simplifying complexity at scale
Behind every stream, event and platform, complexity continues to grow. Across all three events, Layercake demonstrated how Streamcake simplifies that complexity, enabling teams to scale without friction and operate with greater speed, control and efficiency.
