Streamcake integrates with the Linode platform API to manage virtual machine lifecycles for streaming and media workloads. Operators authenticate with a secure token stored in service settings, then workflow steps provision instances, poll until guests are ready, update labels and tags, resize plans, boot and shut down hosts, clone disks to new machines, rebuild from fresh images, and remove resources when jobs complete. Remote automation runs packaged shell steps with output streamed into workflow event logs, while background health collection compares processor, memory, disk, and optional accelerator utilisation against configurable warning and error bands.
